MOLIS Management Database helps to optimise your management decisions.
vision4health is delighted to announce that the MOLIS Management Datbase (MMD) has been released and is hence available for use by our MOLIS customers. The MMD module is an optimisation of the MOLIS data warehouse and delivers raw data prepared in so-called views. The MMD module has its own database, so that the performance of the productive system is not impaired in any way whatsoever.

The evaluation of the data generated in the laboratory and administrated by MOLIS supplies the basic information for a whole series of management decisions. Hence it is possible to determine the level of utilisation of a certain analytical instrument or the sending-in behaviour of wards and doctors. Several time periods can be compared to one another here or turnover figures determined. The preparation of the data in the specific views enables the evaluation of the data without the need to have knowledge of the otherwise very complex data structure.
There are several possibilities for the evaluation of the data:

• by directly accessing the database using ODBC and external tools such as Access, Cognos, Crystal Reports, Deltaminer, or
• via the revised MOLIS Statistics module, which will be available shortly.

The MOLIS Management Database module can be used from MOLIS version 4.01 and requires Oracle 8.1.7. or higher. If used under MOLIS 4.10 or MOLIS 4.2, which will similarly be available shortly, Oracle version 9.2 or higher will be required.
