Concept

Diagnostic cubeThe molis concept is based on a multidimensional approach. The product design differentiates between the professional requirements of the various diagnostic disciplines, such as laboratory, transfusion medicine or pathology, and the economic or organisational necessities of the different forms of institutes, such as university clinic, doctor practices or medical care centres. If the individual functional areas of the system, such as the issuing of orders, sample management or validation, are taken as a third dimension, then the result is the ‘diagnostic cube’ that is characteristic of molis.

The basis is characterised by the functional design axis. At this level, processes are designed cross-disciplinarily and cross-institutionally. Standards are then defined Alongside this functional basis, the different specialist disciplines to be imaged play a decisive part. The molis products are used in hospital laboratories and functional departments as well as in private laboratories or research facilities.

Particular attention is paid to multi-institutional and multidisciplinary processes, up to the establishment of a Diagnostic Wide Area Network (DWAN) that enables maximum diagnostic integration. With the Unified Diagnostic Rules (UDR), molis offers higher-level control mechanisms for the automated monitoring and evaluation of the data and processes of the individual diagnostic areas.
